United States, one evening at the turn of the 1990s. A video store clerk receives an emergency call and hurries out of the store. Hopping on her motorcycle, she races to the rescue of a friend who has had a bad encounter at a nightclub. A few well-placed blows with a helmet later, the two women are off on a frantic chase, with a gang of furious machos hot on their heels.

Following Oh, Lenny, Aurélien Maury puts his elegant ligne claire in the service of a mischievous homage to genre cinema, steeped in pop culture references. Somewhere between action movie, road movie and science fiction, this silent story is conceived as a breathless long take, with one image per page. This device brings us right alongside the pair of heroines, through the settings of a one-horse town in the American heartland, on a night-time escapade where the fantastical can burst in at any moment.
